Hi All!

This week was a good one! We had two baptisms planed for this last Sunday but only had one... The devil is working on Daniel. His wife just had their first baby and he is stressed out with money thoughts so he started working Sundays. But we are going to have a spiritually overwhelming lesson with him and he will change his mind:)

Perla got baptized! It was awesome! She reminds me of Gabi Isrealson so I'm always joking and teasing with her. The baptism was a  great experience and she chose me to do the honors and dunking her. Her foot came up so we did it twice. Afterwards she was like, "Two times?!" and I told her, "Don't blame me! You had so many sins that I had to dunk you twice." haha She is funny.


This last week has been a good one. We are receiving a ton of help from the members here and it's a great privilege to be here with them. I love my companion. We are complete opposites but we both love mission work so we are getting along. We both know how to get over the problems that we face in a healthy way and it makes all the difference.

I am really understanding the Holy Ghost. I talk about him almost every week, but that is because he really is everything in my life. Without the Holy Ghost a missionary is nothing. There were a lot of times this week were I stopped and listened to what he was telling me and we saw miracles because of it. We found this teenager (Mario) in our area book and we went searching for a couple of hours the other day to find him and just as we were leaving I left that I just yelled at a teenager who wasn't really close to us. I just yelled, "What's your name?" And he yelled back, "Mario". So we got to place a day to meet with him and he is was positive. It's just simple stories like that but these are the stories that build my testimony.

HEYY!!! I'm using a terrible computer and it won't let me add a subject line.. haha Gautemala.

This week was awesome! I received Elder Giron. He is awesome. He has 15 months so it's awesome to work with someone who knows a few things. He is a complete stud and likes to work hard!

Man this week was crazy. We have 2 baptisms for this Sunday. We baptize Sunday because our investigators need 3 attendances to be baptized. So we do it after church the 3rd attendance. Get 'em in the water as soon as possible! 

We have been working really diligently this week and it's such a blessing! We are obedient and diligent and it allows us to bring the Spirit in such a powerful way. We really just have to bear our testimony with all our hearts and teach a little about baptism and our investigators accept to be baptized with a date. We have a goal to do a baptismal challenge with a date with all of our new investigators and we are seeing miracles. We have been making a lot of promises to God and we are keeping our part and he is pushing us where he wants us to go. 

I am coming to really understand a lot about the Holy Ghost. His job is to testify and confirm the truth. My companion and I are really just trying to focus on how to invite him as powerfully as possible into our lessons. Our testimony is based on a confirmation of the holy ghost. We can't describe how we know that God lives and how he loves us. We know it because the Holy Ghost has told us. We feel it. We need to really feel the gospel more. Because really it's a feeling. We need to spend our time enjoying the gospel more often. We sometimes get hung up on doctrinal stuff, but really, the gospel is not something to be understood perfectly in this life. Pay attention to your feelings more often, listen to the Holy Ghost, invite him into your life. He comes when called, but stays when appreciated. I love that saying.

P.S. This past Sunday was voting day. So... That was crazy. People are so stupid here about politics. So many people bombed the police station and stupid riots because their guy didn't win. I am really understanding why there are so many stupid soccer riots here. The people just want to riot.

This week was a little better than last!

 First off we had a Wedding and a Baptism! We married Cathy to Alejandro (my homie; he always comes to teach with us; I love him). We married them on a Saturday and Cathy got baptized Sunday. It was awesome! My companion and I passed by the church on Saturday to put water in the font and again, THERE WAS NO WATER! Satan is working hard! We had the baptism at another church so it was all good! PS: Thanks Mom and Dad for paying for the cake..haha 

Tomorrow we have changes! I'm staying in Palin for another change! This area is so hard but I'm ready to put my shoulder to the wheel! I am excited to be here! I will be receiving a new companion. I pray he is willing to work hard. I just want to kill myself this next change from working hard. Obedience with exactness, Diligence in all things, and the Holy Ghost there at your side. That's the only way I've seen success here in the field

This week we also had the blessing to go to the temple. It was a really good experience. You really come to learn a little more about heaven in the temple. I challenge everyone to pay a visit to the temple. Go and listen for the whisperings of the Holy Ghost. Go with a question and I promise you will receive an answer. 

We got to see President Russell M Nelson speak in El Salvador. It was cool, but I wish he would have just come here to Guatemala like he'd planned! I learned a lot from him though. He is such a stud. He is the most loving guy. What a blessing it was to listen to him speak directly to us missionaries.
